In "Thenali", Kamal plays a Sri Lankan Tamil speaking fellow who suffers from all sorts of phobia and desperately needs treatment from psychiatrist. His attending psychiatrist (Delhi Ganesh), having had no success but only troubles with Thenali, sends Thenali to a rival, Dr. Kailash (Jayaram) in an attempt to destroy Dr. Kailash. The patient pursues Dr. Kailash on vacation with his family all the way to the hiss station. By the end of the vacation, the doctor becomes patient and the patient becomes doctor. 'Thenali" is an uproarious comedy, fun for the whole family.
